Parks, gardens and greenspaces improve our quality of life but are often viewed as prime ‘green-field’ sites by developers.
There are also a minority of city council members and unelected officials who would like to gain ‘capital receipts’ for city parks – i.e. make money from parks by building on them.
When so many sites in the City of Glasgow are derelict and there is so much disused land crying out for development, it is inexcusable to build in our parks.
Let’s keep Glasgow green.
